French bill words

The screens stay in English. Supplier emails are in French so the supplier can act on them. These are plain meanings, not advice about which option to choose.

Mensualité
A fixed amount the supplier collects most months. It is a payment plan, not the cost of that month's electricity.
Facture de régularisation
The bill that compares electricity you actually used with the mensualités already collected. The result is a sum still to pay, or a credit (a trop-perçu).
Abonnement
The standing charge. On an electricity bill it follows the puissance souscrite, the power your meter is subscribed for, in kVA.
kVA
Subscribed power, such as 6 kVA. It is not kWh. kWh is the energy you used.
Heures pleines / heures creuses
Peak and off-peak. A Heures Creuses meter has two indexes. Off-peak is usually eight hours; the clock times belong to your meter and are printed on the bill.
Base
One unit price all day, and one index.
Tempo
An EDF option with three day colours — bleu, blanc and rouge — and peak and off-peak prices inside each colour. Red days cost the most and are announced the day before. The colour year uses 300 blue days, 43 white days and 22 red days.
Zen Fixe
An EDF market offer with a fixed unit price. BonCompteur can list it next to Tarif Bleu. Listing it is not a suggestion to take it.
TRV
Tarif réglementé de vente, the regulated tariff. EDF sells it as Tarif Bleu. Public authorities set those prices. BonCompteur does not say whether the TRV or another offer suits you.
Index réel / index estimé
A reading taken from the meter, or an estimate the supplier used because it did not have one.
PDL or PRM
The delivery-point number for the electricity meter. BonCompteur keeps it masked.
Gazpar
The GRDF communicating gas meter. The index is cubic metres. The bill turns that into kWh with a coefficient de conversion.
Coefficient de conversion
The figure on a mains gas bill, in kWh per cubic metre. It already includes the gas quality for that period. BonCompteur does not publish one of its own.
Citerne
A propane tank, filled by a delivery in litres or kilograms. Antargaz, Primagaz and Butagaz are suppliers of that kind. The gauge is a percent of the tank.
